Hat Sizes, Measuring Your Head Circumference
Big Head or Small Head?
If your head circumference measures less than 55 cm or more than 62 cm, it is often very difficult to find your size in non-specialized stores.
For smaller sizes, it is possible to reduce the head circumference by up to 2 cm (beyond 2 cm, the hat will no longer fit visually), either by padding under the sweatband in the hat, or by making a stitch to pinch the sweatband (recommended method for caps). You can also switch to children's sizes. In fact, children have relatively large heads compared to their bodies. Indeed, the head grows slower than the rest of the body.
For sizes larger than 64 cm, unfortunately, there are no manufacturers in these measurements. In this case, the only solution will be to unpick the sweatband to lengthen it. For felt hats, there are expanders on which you can gradually increase the circumference using an adjustment screw.
To choose the right hat size, measure your head circumference about 1 cm above the eyebrows and ears.
Be careful not to tighten too much, as the hat might fit just as snugly.
Our hats come with 2 foam bands that can be slipped under the sweatband inside. They can help reduce the head circumference, thus adjusting them to size.
Depending on the type of product and the manufacturer, there are different ways to size hats.
In any case, always refer to the information provided on the product sheets
Do you want to give a hat as a gift to a loved one? To find their head circumference, the best way is to look at the size indicated in one of their hats. If this is not possible, we advise you not to take unnecessary risks. Simply ask them because the head circumference is not always what you think. Indeed, a slim person can have a large size, for example.

Size in cm

Understand small or large size. Generally, these hats are equipped with an elastic Headband in Spandex to better ensure the fit on the head. Be careful! These values are indicative, so follow the indications present on each product sheet.
One size
Generally, one-size hats are those with the most relaxed styles, so they do not have the same need to have a perfect fit on the head, especially if you wear it largely tilted on the back of the head. Most are equipped with an elastic Headband in Spandex to ensure a better fit on the head. However, be careful not to choose these hats if you have a large or small head.
Our hats come with 2 cork bands. Simply slide them under the sweatband inside to reduce the hat by one or two sizes.
